Boracay, Philippines

Ryan and I took our first alone a few weeks back to Boracay, a small island in the Philippines. Boracay is known for having some of the best beaches in the world and has been on our travel list since we arrived in Hong Kong.

We decided not to bring Xavier with us since traveling there is a bit of a journey. Though Boracay is relatively close to Hong Kong (3 hour flight) there is no direct route and multiple modes of transportation need to be taken. To get there, we took 2 flights, a packed van ride for 2 hours, small boat ride and a trike sidecar to our hotel- which then required a walk along the beach to get to. Needless to say, after our day of travel to get there we were exhausted.

Over our 4 days there we checked out a few of the different beaches and took a boat trip out to a cliff jumping area. We loved our time together and the chance to rejuvenate before heading back to our little man!

Xavier also had a wonderful time while we were away! He stayed in our home with our helper and had days filled with visits to the playground, play dates on the beach and walks with Ahri.
